One of the first decent supercells of the 2012/13 season with this beast delivering large hail and damaging winds to southern parts of Lismore, Pottsville and Ballina. We intercepted 6cm hail along the M1 near the Pottsville turn-off. Our mate Justin Noonan from Aussie Storm Chasers joined us for the chase.

Storm of the season. Delivering over 100kph winds and epic storm structure, November 17 will be remembered for a long time. The Green Monster delivered very large hail over eastern darling downs regions before weakening on the southeast coast. The 5/6cm hail were observed at our chasing location near Goombungee.

Supercell storm chase to Boonah, Queensland where with witnessed gorgeous structure and hail to 9cms in between Boonah and Beaudesert. This storm later went on to affect the western suburbs of Brisbane. Winds to 80kph were observed with this severe thunderstorm.

Two seperate thunderstorm intercepts with frequent lightning and classic structure. The gustfront on Storm #2 (pictured) looked amazing and it dumped golfball sized hail at Dalveen. Squall line thunderstorms throughout the eastern darling downs region on the first day of February. Wind gusts to 75kph during the outflow transition. This thunderstorm created a spectacular 'mothership' like appearence later in that evening from Karara, inbetween Inglewood and Warwick.
